Zebra Crossing
Zebra Crossing was a typeface design project which I undertook in my second year of university.
The objective we were given by our unit coordinator was that we had to design a completely new, unique, decorative typeface from the ground up, working with a completely blank template. We chose to create a font that heavily relied on spacing and thickness, inspired by  stencilled spraypainted work that existed as part of the Brisbane Street Art Festival, and this was the birth of Zebra Crossing. Our typeface evolved from initial designs on paper to digital mockups, and eventually, the final, handcrafted OTF file which was created and compiled in FontLab.
The result of this project was a fully completed, functional typeface which is able to be installed and used on any computer.
